Environmental Risk Management

environmental risk management

Assessing and anticipating environmental risks at a site can often prevent a more costly and damaging disaster later. At Michigan Consulting & Environmental, we handle environmental risk management with the best interest of our clients in mind. In order to ensure that every one of our clients’ concerns are addressed and resolved, each environmental risk management case is overseen by a dedicated project manager. We utilize Risk Based Corrective Action through execution of Tier II and Tier III evaluations and site closures as described by ASTM: E 1739-97 and adopted by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. When necessary, we assist our clients with preparation, filing, and site closure through land use restrictions and restrictive covenants.

Our environmental risk management services are tailored to the needs and conditions of each client’s site. With a range of specialties among our team and over 100 years of combined experience, we have the expertise needed to recognize potential threats to environmental conditions in any setting. Our pollution prevention programs include application, implementation, and monitoring of discharges under the National Pollution Elimination and Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting. We also offer assistance with preparation, certification, implementation, facility inspection, and implementation oversight related to Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans in accordance with 40 CFR 112 and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) in accordance State and Federal regulations.
